Responsibilities
- Assist in-house attorneys in handling bankruptcy issues, including docket reviews, communications with the Trustee, and drafting Motions for Authority to Procure Financing.
- Support the Asset Management Department by drafting correspondence and managing external communications regarding the company's collateral.
- Draft contracts, amendments, addenda, and other legal documents for attorney review.
- Respond to inquiries from government agencies and manage interactions with various state authorities.
- Conduct legal research and provide support to in-house attorneys and outside counsel in litigation management.
- Process and respond to legal actions, including subpoenas, court orders, and bankruptcy-related notifications.
- Review documents to ensure compliance with departmental procedures and identify deadlines.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of paralegal experience, with a preference for bankruptcy experience and familiarity with corporate or finance environments.
- A Bachelor’s degree is required, and a paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program is preferred.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees.
- Positive attitude, emotional intelligence, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).

The estimated salary range for this role is $71,000 - $90,000, with potential for an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on experience, qualifications, and performance.
