Job Responsibilities
- Receive, log, and track all legal notices, default letters, and other formal communications delivered under trust agreements.
- Analyze notices to determine required trustee actions, escalate to appropriate internal teams, and coordinate timely responses.
- Maintain notice files and tracking systems to ensure compliance with deadlines, covenants, and regulatory expectations.
- Prepare response packages, correspondence, and status summaries for management and regulatory review.
- Cook with outside counsel as needed to ensure proper handling of complex default situations.
- Serve as liaison to external counsel, issuers, obligors, and bondholders regarding formal communications.
- Aid in training trust administrators and junior staff on notice review, escalation, and documentation protocols.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, or Legal Studies.
- Paralegal Degree or Certificate preferred.
- Minimum of 4-7 years’ experience in related field preferably with a bank, mortgage originator, title company, or law firm setting.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple high-volume matters simultaneously.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with ability to distill complex issues into clear internal summaries.
