About the Role
The Business & Legal Affairs Department supports NBCU Telemundo Enterprises in content acquisition, development, production, licensing, and distribution. The Business & Legal Affairs Paralegal will support the SVP, Business & Legal Affairs, and other department attorneys.
Responsibilities
- Complete form agreements, schedules, and other documentation under an attorney’s supervision.
- Negotiate and/or draft basic agreements/legal documents under an attorney’s supervision, including talent agreements, production term sheets, clip license agreements, acquisition deal memos, vendor agreements, and amendments.
- Manage the clearances of photographs and videos for unscripted and/or special programming.
- Prepare reports, summaries, memos, and analyses of agreements and other matters.
- Review, analyze, and interpret agreements, providing accurate and detailed summaries.
- Update and maintain schedules, agreement templates, track agreements/deals in progress, secure contract signatures, review production deliverables, and manage electronic databases/systems.
- Maintain and update data on contract trackers, including talent agreements, programming rights analysis, and vendor agreements.
- Assist in producing documents for attorneys, such as status reports, research, summaries, due diligence requests, notices, and correspondence.
- Prepare and maintain records, reports, and documents for compliance purposes.
- Perform administrative tasks, coordinate team meetings, and handle other assignments as directed by Business & Legal Affairs attorneys.
Requirements
- Minimum five (5) years of experience as a Paralegal (production background a plus).
- College degree with a Paralegal certificate (or equivalent).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bilingual (English and Spanish).
- Must be willing to work in the greater Miami, Florida area.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
- Must be willing to work late evenings and occasional holidays or weekends as needed.
- Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Program.

Schedule
This position currently has a hybrid schedule, requiring in-office work a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
