About the role
We are seeking a true litigation paralegal with at least 2+ years of experience in a legal setting with strong analytical and writing skills who can independently manage case-related tasks from intake through trial. Personal injury experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Manage and organize case files from intake through trial
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, demands, motions, and correspondence
- Draft and respond to discovery demands, court orders, and document requests
- Review and analyze case materials and discovery, including identifying key facts and missing information
- Obtain and review medical records and supporting documentation for cases
- Prepare and e-file legal documents in compliance with court rules and deadlines
- Maintain case progress, notes, and deadlines
- Communicate with clients, medical providers, insurance carriers, and opposing counsel
- Aid in trial preparation, and exchange of discovery, including exhibits and case materials
- Follow up on cases with missing discovery to ensure timely receipt of material to properly litigate cases
Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of legal experience, with strong analytical and writing skills, is required; personal injury experience is preferred
- An associate's degree is required
- Plaintiff-side experience preferred (defense experience will be considered)
- Strong command of the English language (written and verbal)
- Spanish language skills are a plus
- Strong ability to review and analyze legal and medical documents
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and basic computer systems
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to manage multiple tasks independently
- Strong communication and follow-through
- Consistent and stable work history preferred
- Must be able to deliver high-quality results on a timely basis
- Must have the ability for proactive time management that ensures a successful outcome for the firm and the clients
