Position Summary
Hydra Host is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Paralegal / Legal Assistant to support our growing global legal and corporate functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain corporate records, minute books, and entity documentation.
- Prepare board resolutions, written consents, and corporate filings.
- Cook up annual corporate compliance requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
- Aid with entity formation and ongoing corporate maintenance.
- Draft, review, and manage NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, purchase agreements, vendor contracts, and customer agreements.
- Track contract lifecycle from creation through execution and renewal.
- Maintain contract repository and ensure version control.
- Cook up contract approvals across internal stakeholders.
- Organize legal files and document management systems.
- Track legal deadlines, renewals, regulatory filings, and action items.
- Manage outside counsel invoices and legal budgets.
- Conduct legal research on corporate, employment, and commercial matters.
- Aid with employment agreements, offer letters, confidentiality agreements, and restrictive covenant documentation.
- Support global employment compliance initiatives.
- Cook up background check documentation and compliance records.
- Aid with policy creation and document updates.
- Maintain trademark and intellectual property records.
- Cook up patent and trademark filings with outside counsel.
- Track renewal dates and filing deadlines.
- Aid with corporate registrations and annual filings.
- Support trade compliance and regulatory documentation.
- Help prepare responses for audits and due diligence requests.
- Maintain compliance calendars.
- Partner with HR on employment-related legal matters.
- Support Finance during fundraising, banking, and corporate transactions.
- Aid Sales Operations with customer contract administration.
- Cook up legal documentation for strategic partnerships and vendors.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, Business, or related field.
- Paralegal Certificate preferred.
- 4+ years of paralegal or legal assistant experience in a corporate legal department or law firm.
- Experience supporting commercial contracts and corporate governance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and document management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
- High level of discretion with confidential information.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting startup or high-growth technology companies.
- Experience with global legal operations.
- Familiarity with U.S. corporate law and international entities.
- Experience working with employment law documentation.
- Knowledge of corporate governance best practices.
- Experience with contract lifecycle management.
