Paralegal
About the role
The Education Law Center-PA is seeking a Director for our Western Pennsylvania Office in Pittsburgh. The Director reports directly to the Executive Director based in Philadelphia and will lead the Pittsburgh office, overseeing direct service to underserved students, participating in local and statewide policy advocacy and litigation, building and strengthening community partnerships, and engaging with funders and board members.

Requirements
The ideal candidate should have:
- A demonstrated commitment to public interest law, civil rights, racial justice, and advancing the rights of underserved populations
- Experience in supervising attorneys and staff
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with community partners
- Experience working with diverse communities and advocating for underrepresented groups
Qualifications
- J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school
- Admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in public interest law
- Experience in civil rights, racial justice, and education law
- Experience in direct representation, impact litigation, and policy advocacy
Skills
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Pay
Salary range: $80,000 - $90,000 annually
