Core Job Functions
- Gathers, analyzes, and researches law sources, such as statutes, legislation, recorded judicial opinions, case law, legal articles, treaties, constitutions, and legal codes.
- Prepares, reviews, and edits legal documents, such as briefs, pleadings, appeals, contracts, licensing agreements, purchase contracts, initial and amended articles of incorporation, letters of intent, buy-sell agreements, leases, closing papers, and other relevant documentation.
- Develops and maintains files, databases and systems to collect, store and retrieve data on litigation, union contracts, patent management, etc.
- Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Coordinates litigation support, prepares responses to interrogatories and requests for production, and coordinates responses to subpoenas.
- Investigates facts and law of cases to determine causes of action and prepare cases.
- Schedules witness appearances for legal proceedings.
- Aids in scheduling logistics for meetings and travel.
Core Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience required.
