Paraeducator- K-5 Jackson

K-5 Paraeducator position at Jackson Elementary in the Shakopee school district. 6.5 hours per day, Monday through Friday on student days.

Compensation Range: $21.34 - $27.00 per hour, based on experience.

About the Role

This position works directly with students in a variety of capacities. May include assisting with younger students, individual or small group academic assistance, behavior guidance, or helping with scheduled student breaks and transitions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to supervise children in a positive manner.
• Ability to make appropriate decisions quickly.
• Knowledge of discipline policies and procedures.
• Able to work independently.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to follow teacher's plan and direction, and communicate effectively with students and staff.
• Experience working with young children.
