Paraeducator III (6.5 hours) - Paso Robles High School

About the role

Paraeducator III at Paso Robles High School, 6.5 hours daily. Under the direction of the Special Education Director and site administrator, the Paraeducator II works to support instructional activities of special needs students. A majority of the assignment will be spent working directly with students in a capacity that meets learning and physical needs of students as determined by their respective Individualized Educational Plan (IEP). Provide interventions and respond to inappropriate behaviors: assess crisis situations, intervenes and defuses as appropriate. PCN #260097.

Requirements / Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
• 48 or more college semester units OR certification of passing the District Paraeducator Exam OR possesses a Certificate of Proficiency examination in compliance with Education Code and No Child Left Behind Act (required)
• Experience working with children with Special Education needs (preferred)

Pay

Classified Salary Schedule #3, Range 23: $22.69 – $30.42 per hour (pay dependent on experience).

Schedule

Part‑time position: 6.5 hours per day, 193 days per year (approximately 10 months per year).
