About the role
The Special Education Paraeducator provides direct support to students with disabilities in various educational settings, ensuring they have the necessary assistance to succeed academically, socially, and behaviorally. Working under the supervision of a certified special education teacher, the paraprofessional assists with classroom instruction, behavioral management, and individualized student needs.

Schedule

Pay
Starting salary is $19.10 per hour including fully paid individual health benefits. Those with 3 years of experience as a paraeducator or who hold a Bachelor's degree will have a starting salary of $20.10 per hour. This position is part of the Des Plaines Educational Support Personnel Association and follows the collective bargaining agreement (salary details).
