Para Educator at Einstein Elementary
180-day working calendar. Shift: 9:20 am - 1:25 pm (3.5 hours per day). Shift subject to change.
About the role
Assists teachers with individualized and small group instruction for students of all educational levels who have physical or behavioral needs or are medically fragile. Supports students' special health care needs and develops daily living and behavioral skills. Assists staff with classroom preparation and retrieval, use and storage of equipment and supplies. May supervise and assist students in library, classrooms, resource rooms, self-contained classroom, playgrounds, or getting on and off a bus.
Location
Einstein Elementary (located within the Redmond Learning Community).
Pay
- Step 1: $29.75/hour
- Step 2: $32.34/hour (based on experience, SC7 Salary Schedule 2025-2026)
Position is eligible for membership in the Teamsters Local Union No. 763, part of the Lake Washington School District Trades Bargaining Council No. 763 (TBC).
Requirements
- At least eighteen years of age and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent.
- Hold an Associate degree (AA) or higher OR completed two years of study equivalent to 72 college quarter credit hours OR passed an Educational Testing Service ParaPro Assessment documenting a score of 455 or higher OR passed the Pearson Paraprofessional Assessment with a score of 220 or higher. Official documentation will be required upon hire.
