The Entry Level Cook position at Hyatt Regency McCormick Place Chicago is a culinary role requiring basic or related cooking experience and good communication skills. This position works within one of the hotel's three outlets, serving in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and guidelines
- Ensure food safety and quality standards are met
- Follow food preparation schedules and ensure timely service
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas
- Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth operations
Requirements
- A culinary degree is preferred, but previous culinary experience is strongly preferred
- Must be able to perform all basic and intermediate cooking skills
- A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and perform repetitive duties
- Capable of performing repetitious duties
- Fair verbal and written communication skills are required
- Must have flexible availability to work all shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
