Pantry Cook - Entry Level

About the role

The Entry Level Cook position at Hyatt Regency McCormick Place Chicago is a culinary role requiring basic or related cooking experience and good communication skills. This position works within one of the hotel's three outlets, serving in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and guidelines
• Ensure food safety and quality standards are met
• Follow food preparation schedules and ensure timely service
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas
• Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth operations

Requirements

• A culinary degree is preferred, but previous culinary experience is strongly preferred
• Must be able to perform all basic and intermediate cooking skills
• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and perform repetitive duties
• Capable of performing repetitious duties
• Fair verbal and written communication skills are required
• Must have flexible availability to work all shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays

Pay
