About the Role

We are looking to add a Panel Shop Technician (also known as a Panel Wirer, Control Panel Builder, or Electrical Assembler) who works with the DVL Power Systems and Engineering team. This role is responsible for the construction, wiring, and testing of switchgear and control panels in the Bristol, PA Panel Shop, ensuring neat and high-quality wiring work.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately constructs control panels in the panel shop.
  • Correctly inventories parts received and updates project BOM and white board.
  • Accurately scans inventoried package list and emails to coordinators and engineers.
  • Performs wiring work that is neat, high-quality, and resembles OEM construction.
  • Maintains good communication with management regarding projects.
  • Maintains a sufficient understanding of the NEC.
  • Works safely, following industry-standard safety practices, including OSHA, UL508A, and NFPA 70E guidelines.
  • Maintains an acceptable personal driving record for company vehicles.
  • Professionally interfaces with coworkers, site end users, contractors, and engineers.
  • Fills out company paperwork and other documentation accurately and timely.
  • Available to perform scheduled on-call and overtime duties.

Requirements

  • One-year certificate from a college or trade school.
  • Able to read schematics and implement wiring.
  • Some related Power Service experience, including constructing control panels and field wiring modifications (preferred).
  • Panel shop wiring experience (preferred).
  • Safety training or OSHA 10 (preferred).
  • Excellent customer service skills and experience.
  • Proficient in Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
  • Valid driver’s license to commute to the Bristol, PA office daily and eventually travel to customer sites.

Pay

The pay range is $19.00/hr. - $21.70/hr. plus bonus based on relevant experience.
