About the Role
This position involves operating a panel saw and related machinery to cut and machine parts for assembly, ensuring accurate execution of millwork jobs based on blueprints and materials.
Responsibilities
- Read blueprints and materials to ensure correct data entry into the panel saw machine.
- Execute millwork jobs utilizing the panel saw machine.
- Operate and program other shop machinery, including edge bander saw and panel press.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, with the ability to adapt to changing responsibilities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to read blueprints, interior design, and architectural drawings.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work under tight time constraints and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Physical and Mental Demands
- Pass pre-employment physical/musculoskeletal exam, drug screening, and audiogram test.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds on a daily basis.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
- Occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Specific vision abilities required: close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, color differentiation, and ability to focus.
Working Environment
This role operates in a manufacturing/warehouse environment. The employee will frequently talk, listen, and engage in physical tasks requiring movement and dexterity.
