About the role

The Panel Door Fabricator III performs duties of a Door Builder/Clamp Operator, sets up and operates woodworking machines, and fabricates cabinet doors according to job orders, special requests, and detailed paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Pulls panels by wood specie, graining, and special characteristics as specified on job orders.
• Interprets job orders, detailed drawings, and special request product.
• Follows cut lists to cut panels to specifications.
• Sets up doors by cutting stiles and rails per order in preparation for assembly.
• Organizes each door with correct panel, stile, rail, etc., according to cut lists, job orders, or detailed drawings.
• Sets up and operates machines (e.g., chop saw, panel shaper) for door and part fabrication.
• Organizes and controls drop-off materials.
• Collaborates with managers on product issues, material, machine, and safety concerns affecting production.
• Selects, installs, and adjusts saw blades, cutterheads, boring bits, and sanding belts; adjusts machines to specifications.
• Repairs product by hand or using an orbital sander.
• Moves sanded product to the next step in the process per job order.
• Inspects work to ensure it meets specifications and quality standards, using an easel as needed.
• Organizes and prioritizes green slips for rework to meet daily/weekly production needs; expedites and follows through on rework.
• Maintains clean, safe, and orderly work areas.

Schedule

• 1st Shift: Monday through Thursday, 5:00 AM - 3:15 PM or 6:00 AM - 4:15 PM.
• Friday overtime required as needed.

Pay

Salary Grade D: $21.00 - $24.95 per hour.
