What You’ll Do

  • Assemble, fit, and mount components and subassemblies for industrial control panels, automation systems, panelboards, switchboards, and other power-distribution equipment.
  • Read and follow electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, mechanical drawings, bills of material, and work instructions.
  • Install components such as circuit breakers, terminal blocks, contactors, relays, transformers, power supplies, PLC hardware, variable-frequency drives, meters, and operator-interface devices.
  • Cut, strip, crimp, label, route, terminate, and torque conductors and cables using approved tools and workmanship standards.
  • Fabricate or modify enclosures and mounting hardware using basic drilling, punching, tapping, and light metalworking processes as assigned.
  • Perform in-process and final visual inspections; verify component placement, wiring, labeling, grounding, clearances, and workmanship against drawings and specifications.
  • Support continuity, point-to-point, functional, and other authorized electrical or mechanical checks; document results and promptly report defects or discrepancies.
  • Identify material shortages, drawing conflicts, damaged parts, and process concerns; work with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and supervision to resolve issues.
  • Complete routings, labor reporting, production records, and quality documentation accurately and on time.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and the work area in accordance with safety, PPE, 5S, ISO, and company procedures.
  • Meet quality and productivity expectations, support on-time completion of customer orders, and cross-train across assembly functions as business needs require.
  • Participate in continuous-improvement activities related to safety, quality, delivery, cost, and workflow.

Required Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or GED, or equivalent demonstrated skills and experience.
  • Ability to read and follow manufacturing drawings, work instructions, and bills of material; basic ability to interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Ability to safely use common hand and power tools, including wire strippers, crimpers, drills, torque tools, and measuring devices.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, attention to detail, and commitment to producing neat, accurate, high-quality work.
  • Ability to perform basic shop math and measure accurately.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, work effectively in a team, and escalate questions or discrepancies before proceeding.
  • Ability to follow safety rules, wear required PPE, and comply with company quality and manufacturing procedures.
  • Ability to work scheduled overtime, including weekdays or weekends, when required to meet customer commitments.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • One or more years of experience in electrical assembly, control-panel wiring, power-distribution equipment, industrial machinery, or a related manufacturing environment.
  • Experience assembling or wiring industrial control panels, panelboards, switchboards, motor-control equipment, or automation-system enclosures.
  • Working familiarity with UL 508A, NFPA 79, NEC requirements, ISO quality systems, or comparable electrical-manufacturing standards.
  • Experience with continuity testing, point-to-point verification, multimeters, torque verification, or other production test equipment.
  • Basic metal-fabrication, enclosure-modification, forklift, overhead-crane, rigging, or material-handling experience.
  • Technical coursework, apprenticeship, or certificate in industrial electricity, electronics, electromechanical technology, or a related field.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Regularly stand, walk, reach, bend, kneel, and use hands for repetitive and fine-detail assembly work.
  • Frequently handle tools, components, wire, and hardware; lift and carry materials within company-defined limits, with team or mechanical assistance when required.
  • Work around industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment with typical noise, dust, and temperature variation.
