PALS Elementary Site Lead

About the role
The PALS Site Lead will provide support to students, staff, and the district in increasing instructional capacity to help all students meet or exceed expected growth, graduate from high school, and eliminate predictability in achievement through practices of educational equity. This position supports building efforts to create a culturally competent and racially inclusive learning environment so all students are successful.
You will work with the Coordinator of ALC, Community Education Department staff, the building principal, and other building staff to implement a coordinated, extended-day program.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and lead extended-day staff and activities, including student supervision.
- Design and lead staff in delivering enrichment activities for students needing augmented or differentiated approaches, using a large repertoire of successful teaching strategies and adapting instruction to different learning styles.
- Actively participate in regular meetings with program leadership.
- Collect, maintain, and share data on student achievement; experience with English Language Learners, Special Education students, and diverse populations.
- Develop and coordinate extended-day staff and student schedules to best meet student needs.
- Recruit teachers and coordinate staff schedules.
- Send electronic registration information to parents of potential students and maintain accurate student records; ensure enrollment information is up to date.
- Collect and manage Continued Learning Plan (CLP) forms, coordinating with building secretaries to send them to families.
- Monitor attendance and communicate with families as needed.
- Assign and guide High School Mentors within the buildings.
- Handle discipline issues using Behavior contracts (signed by students and families) and involve the building administrative team when needed.
- Collaborate with Community Education on operational procedures (busing, schedules, student enrollment, teacher payment, etc.).
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Response to Intervention, assessments, and research related to student learning, systems of intervention, and reading/math.
- Design and lead staff in delivering scientifically based reading and/or math instruction and interventions.
Requirements
- Valid Minnesota Teaching license preferred.
- Familiarity with Synergy and Google applications.
Schedule
- Days: Tuesdays and Wednesdays
- Times: 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM, with some occasional administrative time
- Start Date: November 10, 2026
- End Date: March 24, 2027
- Location: All elementary school sites
Pay
$36.00 per hour
