Qualifications

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hospice and Palliative Care (fellowship trained with Palliative Care experience is highly preferred)
  • Exceptional clinical and communication skills
  • Ability to obtain a Georgia Medical License
  • EPIC experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Perform inpatient and palliative care consultations
  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise within the palliative care clinical team
  • Assist patients and families in navigating complex medical decisions
  • Manage physical and emotional symptoms of patients with serious and complex illnesses
  • Meet with families and patients to determine goals of care and document patients advance care wishes
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve the patient and family experience of care
