Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner
About The Job
The APRN - NP Specialty for Palliative Care provides acute healthcare services for specialty health conditions in specific populations in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization. This APRN will manage the care of palliative, cancer patients. They will see patients in clinic and round on patients in the Mount Carmel Hospitals. The primary shift will be Day, Monday - Friday 8 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. with an occasional Saturday shift.
What You Need
- Education: Masters required in Science, Nursing or Specialty field. Graduate of an Advanced Practitioner program
- Licensure / Certification: Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of OhioCertified as an Advanced Practice Nurse in designated specialty required. American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) is preferred
- Physician Assistant will be considered as well
- BLS provider certification required
- ACLS, NRP, EFM and PALs required for some departments
- Holds a DEA license for controlled substances or ability to obtain as required
- All qualifications above are subject to grandfathering by the Ohio Board of Nursing
Experience
Minimum of 2-3 years recent and relevant APP experience in Palliative Care is higher preferred
