Palletizer Technician

About the role

The Palletizer Technician position at Georgia-Pacific's Savannah River Mill Rincon, GA involves contributing to a safe environment, ensuring proper item scanning and sorting, securing pallets for warehouse/shipping, maintaining quality and safety standards, and performing various operational tasks in an industrial setting.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a safe environment with no significant health and safety incidents
• Scan and sort items properly through systems
• Secure loaded pallets with products for warehouse/shipping using shrink wrap through automated processes
• Maintain high standards for quality and product safety
• Monitor, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment to keep it in a competitive state
• Communicate effectively with the team through various means (verbal, written, electronic)
• Perform repetitive and physically demanding tasks throughout a 12-hour shift
• Operate mobile equipment at heights and/or working at heights
• Clean and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Complete operator basic care and quality checks

Requirements

• One (1) or more year(s) of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, farming, construction, or military environment
• High School Diploma or GED
• One (1) or more year(s) of experience troubleshooting and repairing equipment

Qualifications

• Experience with case palletizers and troubleshooting
• Experience with robotic palletizers and troubleshooting
• Experience with case/bundle conveyors and troubleshooting
• Experience with electric80 vehicles or systems

Skills

• Effective communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, industrial environment
• Physical stamina for repetitive and demanding tasks
• Knowledge of safety rules and regulations
• Ability to operate mobile equipment at heights
• Proficiency with equipment maintenance and troubleshooting

Pay

Compensation starts at $22 hourly (negotiable based on experience).

Schedule

The Palletizer Technician works a rotating 12-hour shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
