Palletizer - 1st Shift

About the role

Operate the Palletizer and Strapper equipment while performing quality checks of the finished goods to produce highest quality cans at the lowest possible costs.

Responsibilities

• Operate Palletizer and Strapper equipment.
• Perform visual check of finished goods.
• Remove damaged and/or suspect finished goods from palletizer and report same to Supervision, Production Line Operator and Quality Inspector.
• Utilize proper packaging materials (Chipboard, top frames and pallets).
• Verify and place proper pallet tags on finished goods.
• Keep equipment and all areas safe, clean, and organized through proper housekeeping.
• Follow all required environmental, health and safety procedures.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

• 6 months of experience in a manufacturing setting (high-speed manufacturing is preferred).
• Exhibit safety and quality as top priorities.
• Effective record keeping skills and the ability to focus on details.
• Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects/tasks at the same time.
• Effective and proven communication skills (both written and verbal) working in a team environment.
• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
• Must be able to stand continuously for more than 8+ hours per shift.
• Must be able to walk, lift/carry up to 50 lbs on occasion.
• Must be able to stand, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• Must be able to twist at the waist and bend repetitively.
• This position may require climbing or balancing.
• Must be able to work up to twelve (12) hour shifts, both day and evening.
