About the Role
48forty Solutions is the largest pallet management services company in North America, providing end-to-end pallet solutions, from supply to retrieval, on-site services, reverse logistics, and packaging materials. As a Pallet Repairer, you’ll build and repair wooden pallets from freshly cut or recycled wood daily to fulfill customer needs in a team-oriented environment.
The work environment involves repetitive lifting (50-75 lbs), bending, stooping, walking, and standing for entire shifts. You’ll work in varying conditions, including exposure to elements, heat, cold, and air particulates. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as eye protection, ear protection, and safety shoes is required. The noise level depends on location, and specific vision abilities (close, distance, and color vision) are necessary.
Responsibilities
- Receive wood from the saw shop and assemble pallets using a nail gun along set stringers.
- Stack finished products by hand for forklift operators to move to designated areas.
- Follow all company safety procedures to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and others.
- Maintain high standards of quality while producing a high volume of finished goods.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to lift wooden pallets weighing approximately 50 lbs regularly.
- Previous experience in lumber, warehouse, construction, carpentry, landscaping, or roofing is highly preferred.
- Quick hands, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality.
- Effective communication skills.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
Pay
USD $17.00 per hour.
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM.
