Pallet/Crate Builder - Afternoon Shift

What You'll Do on a Typical Day

• Responsible for building crates, cutting lumber, working in shipping/receiving.
• Properly cut, assemble, and build wood frame shipping crates.
• Build and repair wood crates and cardboard U-Channels.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.

  What You Need to Succeed at GXO

  • General construction experience.
  • Experience using basic hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read a tape measure and make accurate cuts.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may include weekends.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort working in a warehouse setting.
  • Able to manage time effectively and prioritize work throughout the day based on operational needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Woodworking experience.
    • Carpentry skills.
    • Shipping and receiving experience.
    • High school diploma or equivalent.

      Required Abilities

      • Lift up to 50 lbs.
      • Walk, stand, bend, reach above shoulder level, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel.
      • Work with wood, tools and packaging materials throughout the shift.
