PALLET BUILDER - 2nd Shift

About the role

The Pallet Builder position is responsible for palletizing finished cartons of product and performing the final inspection of the finished carton box.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the date code on finished cases per customer-specific requirements.
• Monitor for damaged or compromised product.
• Stage materials for daily production including pallets, cardboard, and pallet trays.
• Adjust and change tape on machine as needed.
• Assist with labeling and staging of boxes or cartons as needed.
• Palletize boxes per customer label, stacking neatly and inspecting for any damage or compromise; return to rework and/or waste as necessary.
• Inform Team Leaders of any shortages of required counts per Daily Production Plan.
• Segregate materials and maintain spacing from exterior wall spacing.
• Keep work area neat and clean as time allows, utilizing downtime for tasks such as sweeping.
• Comply with all food safety procedures, regulatory requirements, and process efficiency standards.
• Report any food safety issues to management.
• Follow all workplace safety procedures.
• Assist with end-of-day cleanup of waste materials, pans, buckets, and general work area.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a fast-paced processing or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Strong work ethic.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Frequent lifting and stacking of 35–50 pounds.
• Extended periods of standing and walking (10+ hours).
• Frequent repetitive reaching motion with both arms.
• Frequent grasping with hands and fingers.
• Frequent bending and stooping.
• Ability to keep up in a fast-paced environment.
