Pallet and Crate Builder

About the role

A well-established Erie-area manufacturer specializing in custom wooden shipping solutions is seeking a dependable Pallet and Crate Builder to join their team. This hands-on role involves building pallets and crates for a variety of industrial applications using hand tools and power tools in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Build wooden pallets and shipping crates using power tools and hand tools
• Measure, cut, and assemble lumber based on design specifications or customer orders
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality and safety standards
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow safety procedures and wear proper protective equipment
• Assist with loading or moving finished pallets/crates as needed

Requirements

• Prior experience in woodworking, construction, or manufacturing is a plus, but not required
• Comfortable using hand tools, saws, nail guns, and measuring tape
• Ability to read and follow basic blueprints or diagrams
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and stand for long periods
• Strong attention to detail and good work ethic
• Dependable and able to work independently or as part of a team

Pay

$15 per hour
