Painter - Weekend Shift

Pay

• Painter I - $23.00/hour
• Painter II - $23.75/hour
• Painter III - $24.50/hour

Responsibilities

• Paint I - Load, transfer, and unload parts on and/or from the paint line.
• Paint I - Hang/rack parts for paint application.
• Paint I - Inspect parts before and after the finishing process.
• Paint I - Work safely and in accordance with policy, including wearing proper personal protective equipment.
• Paint I - Work in a high heat environment.
• Paint I - Maintain a clean work environment.
• Painter II - Perform cleaning and other preliminary operations to prepare materials for coating.
• Painter II - Assist with maintaining paint equipment.
• Painter III - Perform painting process in painting system.
• Painter III - Watch for appropriate paint coverage and quality coatings for parts.
• Painter III - Flex across different products/areas to support business needs.
• Painter III - Provide training to new employees or employees learning new work areas.

Qualifications

• Painter I - High School diploma or equivalent; 0-2 years of experience; detail oriented and organized.
• Painter II - Painter I requirements; able to pass a pulmonary function test to wear an air hood.
• Painter III - 2 years of experience in powder coat painting; able to pass a pulmonary function test; PPE requirement.

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in root cause problem solving (5 Why, 8D, PDCA, etc.).
• Demonstrated experience effectively training other employees to work instructions/standard work.
• Previous experience using SAP or equivalent ERP system (Oracle, JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics).

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to talk and hear.
• Regularly required to stand and walk.
• Occasionally required to stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders.
• Occasionally lifts up to 25-50 pounds.
• Requires periods of sitting, close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
