Painter & Pressure Washer

Job Summary

Painting, pressure washing, and other duties relating to maintenance are the primary duties. Maintain equipment and tools associated with duties.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities

• Assists other Maintenance Technicians as needed.
• Performs preventative maintenance on systems and equipment as required.
• Maintains routine records of all inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs performed on any equipment or system.
• Works days, evenings, or nights as required performing required duties.
• Participates in the department's on-call schedule.
• Performs manual duties as requested (i.e., moving supplies or furniture, replacing light bulbs, removing trash, scrap material).
• Prepares and smoothes surfaces; removes old paint; matches paint and paint surfaces in a timely manner.
• Pressure washes surfaces without damaging; uses appropriate mixture of cleaning solutions and maintains pressure washing equipment in good working condition.
• Uses and maintains basic tools required to perform duties.
• Responsible for the proper and safe storage of open paint containers and other regulated materials.
• Attends in-service meetings, daily meetings, and fills out work order forms.
• Responds to code red alerts.

Qualifications

• Must pass Level 2 background screening through the Florida Clearinghouse.
• High school graduate or GED equivalent.
• Valid Florida drivers license in good standing.
• Experience in building/facility maintenance, painting, and some Vo-tech experience would be beneficial.

Skills

• Knowledge of chemicals to use for machine.
• Knowledge of pressure levels to avoid surface damage.
• Surface preparation techniques such as scraping, sanding, and priming.
• Color matching and color theory basics.
• Identifying and addressing paint defects.
