About the role
This position involves maintaining county facilities through painting and repair of interior and exterior buildings.
Minimum Qualifications
- Four (4) years of related experience; OR
- An equivalent combination of related education and experience.
Essential Functions
- Maintains and repairs county property by painting interior and exterior of facilities and removing graffiti from grounds, buildings, walls, and sidewalks.
- Makes regular inspections of assigned facilities to identify maintenance and safety issues, including assessing parking lots for restriping needs.
- Maintains adequate inventory of supplies, materials, and equipment, including initiating purchase requisitions as needed.
- Schedules and coordinates painting activities to meet deadlines, keeps accurate daily reports of work completed, and employs safe work practices.
- Responds to emergency situations during non-typical work hours.
Working Conditions And Physical Requirements
Due to the nature of this position, the successful applicant must pass a required background check through fingerprinting and enrollment in the continuous RAP Back (Record of Arrest and Prosecution Back) program in accordance with current County Human Resources policy requirements. A valid Utah driver’s license may be required to operate a vehicle.
