Painter/Laborer

About the role

A Painter/Laborer handles every phase of the painting process and provides support to other departments as needed.

Responsibilities

• Clean surfaces prior to layering paint
• Maintain technical equipment for the job and ensure it is in working order
• Safely dispose of chemical waste
• Ensure that PPE such as painting goggles are used
• Utilize different painting techniques based on the nature of the surface
• Assist in other departments as needed
• Drive to get paint as needed

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience with prep, sanding, wet sanding, and buffing
• At least 1 year of experience painting on a variety of surfaces including aluminum, fiberglass, smooth, and rough surfaces

Preferred Skills

• At least 2 years of experience painting a variety of surfaces including aluminum, fiberglass, smooth, and rough surfaces
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and work orders
• Ability to work within aggressive schedules and deadlines
• Forklift certification

Special Requirements

• Pass a background and drug screen upon offer acceptance
• Meet ATF requirements for firearm possession

Schedule

• 1st shift: Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
• Overtime as needed
