Painter / Journeyman

About the role

Acts Construction is seeking qualified candidates for their Painter / Journeyman position. This role involves performing routine to complex surface preparation, selecting appropriate paint materials, and applying various application techniques to achieve a high-quality finish.

Responsibilities

• Removes old finishes and preps surface for interior and/or exterior painting.
• Applies coats of primer, paint, varnish, stain, enamel, or lacquer to decorate and protect interior or exterior surfaces, trimmings, and fixtures of buildings, other structures, and/or equipment.
• Assists with ordering paint materials, estimating amount of paint needed, and coordinating schedule with other phases of work.
• Maintains inventory of supplies, including paint brushes, tarps, chemicals, etc.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of painting experience.
• Construction or maintenance related experience is preferred.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Pay

$24.21 - $30.76 / hour. Starting rate will vary based on skills and experience.
