Painter II

Responsibilities

• Maintain protective and decorative coatings on interior and exterior surfaces.
• Prepare surfaces by washing, scraping, sanding, or smoothing.
• Install, repair, and maintain drywall, wall texturing, and vinyl/acoustic wall coverings.
• Match/tint paint products and inspect applications for customer satisfaction.
• Determine appropriate colors based on customer consultations.
• Safely operate and maintain various painting and related equipment.
• Follow Standard Precautions and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Properly dispose of hazardous materials.
• Erect scaffolding, staging, ladders, and planks as needed.
• Create and apply graphics and signage layouts, ensuring compliance with DOT, Safety, and ADA requirements.
• Dedicate a portion of time to special projects, such as assisting with tasks, providing training, and participating in meetings, workshops, and training.

Qualifications

• Must have one or more of the following: Graduate of trade school and 3 years’ relevant experience.
• Experience: 5 years’ relevant experience.
• Other equivalent combination of relevant education or experience.
