Position Details Job Code #: JC-535870 Position #(s): 455-556-6526-002 Working Title: Painter I Classification: PAINTER I $4,930.00 - $5,901.00 A New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable. # of Positions: 1 Work Location: San Luis Obispo County Telework: In Office Job Type: 12 Month Limited Term - Full Time Facility: DSH - Atascadero Job Description And Duties The Painter I will be directed by the Painter II and under the direct supervision of the Supervisor of Building Trades in Plant Operations at the Department of State Hospitals - Atascadero (ASH). The incumbent will be responsible for the following duties but not limited to: Prepares wood, masonry, and metal surfaces for painting. Applies primer coats, undercoats, and finish coats. Requires lifting, bending, physical agility, ability to work off ladders and scaffolding, lift up to 70 pounds. Repetitious work required (above and below shoulder level). Maintains inventory and requisitions material necessary to meet the needs of day-to-day operation of the Paint Shop. Maintains and follows proper tool control procedures.
