Painter Helper (Baytown, TX) Austin Industrial

About the role

Will help painters prepare wood and metal surfaces for painting, and paint equipment, parts, machinery, buildings, and other working areas using a spray gun, brush, and rollers. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities

• Reads work order and receives instructions verbally.
• Prepares surface using methods appropriate to remove dirt, oil, grease, removing old paint, smoothing cracks, and filling holes.
• Works at heights with no fear.
• May fill cavities and dents with putty to attain smooth surface.
• May erect scaffolding or set up ladder to perform task above ground level.
• Applies paint to surface using a brush and/or roller.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Legally authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States (Austin is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this position).

Qualifications

• Education – no minimum education requirements.
• Experience – 6+ months experience in an Industrial setting preferred.
