Essential Job Functions
- Measures area to be painted; determines quantity and type of paint to use for the project.
- Identifies and orders appropriate paint colors and finishes, mixing if needed.
- Prepares surfaces to be painted, which may include removing prior finishes through chemicals, grit blast, or other methods.
- Masks, removes, covers, or otherwise protects furniture, hardware, trim, and other nonpainted surfaces.
- Applies paint to interior and exterior surfaces using brushes, rollers, sprayers, airbrushes, stencils, and other tools.
- Performs basic stencil and line work, which may include painting lines on factory floors, parking lots, and other surfaces.
- Complies with chemical and waste storage and disposal regulations and best practices.
- Builds scaffolding according to safety regulations.
- Maintains a clean work area.
Qualifications
- Completion of a formal apprenticeship program, previous experience, or on-the-job training required.
- Motivated and works well with others.
- OSHA30 preferred.
- Willingness to embrace change in a growing company.

Mental and Physical Requirements
- Frequent use of hands to handle, control or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Sit, talk, hear, and stand frequently throughout the day.
- Climb, reach above shoulder height, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl frequently.
- Lift heavy objects (up to 75 pounds) and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions.
- Exposure to hazardous conditions, high places, and /or hazardous equipment.
- Exposure to cramped workspaces, contaminants, extremely bright or inadequate lighting conditions, exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable.
- A flexible work schedule; night and/or weekends may be required.

- Ladders, paintbrush, paint roller, drop cloth, masking tape, paint sprayer, caulking gun, putty knife, sandpaper, scaffolding.
