Responsibilities

• Read work orders and receive verbal instructions.
• Prepare wood and metal surfaces by removing dirt, oil, grease, old paint, smoothing cracks, and filling holes.
• Work at heights safely, including erecting scaffolding or setting up ladders.
• Fill cavities and dents with putty to achieve a smooth surface.
• Select and mix coating liquids to produce the desired color according to specifications, using a paddle or mechanical mixer.
• Apply paint to surfaces using a spray gun, brush, and/or roller.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Education: No minimum education requirements.
• Experience: 3–5 years of journeyman‑level painting and blasting experience.
• Legal authorization to work for any employer in the United States; the company does not sponsor employment visas.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Frequent use of hands for handling, feeling, and reaching; regular talking, hearing, tasting, and smelling.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 lb; frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lb.
• Vision requirements: close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
