About the Role

This position involves a wide range of painting and coating tasks essential to supporting missions vital to national and global security.

Responsibilities

• Interior and exterior painting
• Standard and custom signs, banners, and decals
• Media blasting, glass work, and replacement
• Dike coatings, pressure washing, and fireproof coating application
• Street striping, window tinting, frosting, and glazing
• Drywall finishing and wallpaper application
• Application of special coatings, including spray booth coatings, floor coatings, and staining
• Abatement of painted surfaces and application of encapsulation media
• Structural waterproofing
• Vehicle and equipment coatings
• Work from blueprints, drawings, sketches, and oral/written instructions

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Six years’ experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience in the painter trade
• Must meet the requirements of DOE O 426.2A (High School diploma or alternative)
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment, including respirators
• Must satisfactorily complete all training requirements
• Requires a Q clearance; ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance is required
• U.S. citizenship is required for security clearance applicants
• Position may require entry into Materials Access Areas (MAA) and participation in the Human Reliability Program (HRP), including a counterintelligence-scope polygraph (pursuant to 10CFR 709) and medical requirements
• Must pass a pre-placement physical, drug screening, and background investigation
• Subject to random drug testing without advance notification

Pay

Hourly pay rate: $43.84 to $49.97
