About the Role
Responsible for mixing paints, matching colors, preparing surfaces, and applying paint to a variety of structures. May perform touch-ups or manage large-scale painting projects in coordination with other departments.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by washing walls, repairing holes, and removing old paint.
- Mix, match, and apply paints and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces.
- Provide decorative and faux finishes as required.
- Handle project planning and preparation efficiently.
- Protect surrounding areas with drop cloths or plastic sheeting.
- Move furniture or equipment to access work areas.
- Estimate time and materials needed for projects.
- Remove and reinstall fixtures such as door knobs, light switch covers, etc.
- Tape off appropriate areas to ensure clean paint lines.
- Select and purchase paint, brushes, and other necessary supplies.
- Clean tools and restore work areas after completion.
- Collaborate with other departments to complete painting tasks.
- Maintain compliance with all safety guidelines, procedures, and regulations.
- Ensure a clean and safe work environment, reporting unsafe or unusual conditions.
- Maintain professional and positive interaction with guests and team members.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Basic understanding of color theory and finishing techniques (on-the-job training available).
- Physically able to climb ladders, carry heavy equipment, and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Excellent communication and ability to follow instructions.
- Creative approach to decorative finishing.
- Flexible schedule; must be able to work days, nights, weekends, and extended hours as needed.
- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Must pass all employment screenings and background checks.
