Schedule

Year-round (12 months), non-exempt, 8 hours per day: 2:00 pm – 12:30 am (four 10-hour days Monday–Thursday).

Pay

Starting at $22.18/hour (and up depending on experience).

Responsibilities

• Perform interior and exterior painting throughout the district’s 33 buildings and grounds areas
• Use brushes, rollers, and airless/HPLV sprayers for paint application
• Patch walls, ceilings, doors, and tape new drywall
• Work at heights greater than 20 feet and on rooftops
• Lift 70 pounds on a routine basis
• Operate hand tools, power tools, carpentry/woodworking, and painting equipment
• Work overtime if needed

Requirements

• High school graduate
• Minimum of one year experience in commercial painting or carpentry field or related experience
• Self-motivated with demonstrated excellent job performance and attendance
• Possess or able to obtain a Missouri Class E driver’s license or equivalent with an excellent driving record
• Proficient in using all hand tools, power tools, carpentry/woodworking, and painting equipment
• Excellent technical skills and expertise in specialty areas such as paint application, patching, and drywall taping
• Computer literate and familiar with word processing, spreadsheets (prefer Microsoft Word, Excel, FMX)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Able to relate to a diverse workforce
• Mobility to move in and around buildings
• Able to understand and communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing, for all job-related duties and response to safety emergencies
