Painter

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Responsible for painting exterior and interior areas as assigned.
• Execute pre-painting activities, including cleaning, scraping, sanding, patching, caulking, and masking of adjacent surfaces prior to painting, papering, texturing, etc.
• Follow management’s instructions in maintaining an inventory of paint and supplies.
• Follow management’s instruction in executing the job utilizing appropriate finishes and applications.
• Comply with OSHA/MSDS guidelines with respect to the use of hazardous chemicals.
• Stay up-to-date with storage and disposal laws, regulations, codes, etc.
• Proper cleaning of areas, supplies, and equipment at the completion of project.
• Assist in storing leftover paint in the appropriate locations.
• Support team with special maintenance projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience.
• English speaking or bilingual.
• Ability to prioritize, organize and make good judgments.
• Valid driver’s license with proof of auto liability insurance.
• Dependable.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent walking indoors / outdoors, climbing stairs and ladders, standing, sitting.
• Repetitive bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling, kneeling, crawling, squatting, lifting and carrying.
• Reaching above, at and below shoulder level.
• Must have the ability to push, pull, lift and move up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
