Primary Responsibilities
- Perform surface preparation activities, including masking and sanding of product prior to painting or sandblasting.
- Perform spray painting functions related to preparatory undercoating, preservatives, and lubricants.
- Clean and maintain paint shop equipment such as air lines, fluid lines, paint pots, paint guns, and respirators.
- Ensure coatings are applied according to NOV or customer requirements.
- Clean and store empty paint containers for proper disposal.
- Maintain and change paint booth media filters and surface protectant coatings as needed.
- Properly contain hazardous waste generated from normal paint shop operations.
- Under general supervision, spray paint small, component parts prior to assembly and final coating.
- Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
- Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
Facility/Group Specific Responsibilities
- Complete pre-use inspections as required.
- Participate in facility inspections as directed.
Education & Experience Qualifications
- Must possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have 1-2 years experience in industrial painting, with some blasting may be required.
Job Requirements
- Valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to pass a fit test and wear a respirator.
- Must be able to work in all climates.
- Must be able to lift or move 25 pounds.
- Able to work overtime.
- Occasional use of vehicles and/or forklift required depending on business needs.
