About the Role
The Painter will be responsible for filling, smoothing, and repairing each product's surface, mixing coating liquids, and spraying each layer according to specifications. The role may also include painting decorative designs using stencils and coating hard-to-reach areas with appropriate equipment and tools.
Responsibilities
- Remove rust and other loose materials using power wire disk
- Sand and smooth surfaces that need to be sprayed
- Apply masking tape and coverings over areas not being sprayed
- Select and attach the correct spray nozzle to create the desired spray pattern
- Set and adjust spray equipment to obtain optimal coating finish
- Spray cranes, BTH products, and specialty items using industry techniques
- Spray designs using stencils, if required
- Clean spray cans, nozzles, and other spraying equipment after each spray job
- Inspect and assess spray coatings after the paint has dried
- Maintain work area, equipment, and tools in a clean and organized manner; follow all Safety Guidelines
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Must successfully complete a criminal background check, drug screen, and E-verify
- Experience working as a spray painter
- Excellent hand-eye coordination
- Ability to see subtle color differences
- Experience with breathing masks and protective clothing
- Ability to work with chemicals and paints
- Ability to stand for long periods
