About the role
We are looking for a painter to join our maintenance crew at Spruce Peak, the premier Vermont mountain community. As the painter, you will be an integral member of the team, responsible for delivering high-quality painting services across various projects. Your role will include preparing surfaces, mixing and applying paint, and ensuring a flawless finish. In addition to your painting expertise, a solid understanding of tile and drywall repair will be essential.
The ideal candidate would have a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and priming
- Mix and apply paints, stains, varnishes, lacquers, clear coats, and strippers
- Perform color matching and ensure proper paint application
- Conduct drywall and tile repairs (both floor and wall)
- Select appropriate brushes, rollers, and tools for each job
- Operate spraying equipment, hand tools, and some power tools
- Perform furniture repairs, light carpentry, and plexiglass work (preferred)
Qualifications
- Familiarity with all types of paints, stains, varnishes, lacquers, clear coats, and strippers
- Experience with surface preparation, paint application, and color matching
- Experience with drywall repairs, tile repairs, and carpet work
- Proficiency in using hand tools, spraying equipment, and power tools
- Ability to read, write, and communicate fluently in English
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

Pay
$24.00 - $26.00 per hour based on experience.
