Painter

About the role

French Ellison Truck Center is seeking a talented individual to join our Body Shop team as a Painter. The Painter is responsible for preparing and applying paint to vehicles as well as providing cosmetic repairs. This is a great opportunity to join a high-performing team within a growing and successful dealer group.

Responsibilities

• Mix paint and match paint to color specification
• Mask or tape off details and components to avoid contamination
• Use of painting equipment such as sprayers
• Perform check of paint jobs to check for runs or sags in the paint to ensure a quality product

Requirements

• High School Diploma is required; Technical degree in Auto Body/Collision Repair is preferred
• Possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
• Previous experience in the heavy-duty truck collision industry
• Ability to drive both manual and automatic transmissions
• Ability and background in using industrial painting equipment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be reliable and able to multi-task

Qualifications

• Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, stoop and lift/move up to 75 lbs on a regular basis
• Ability to use ladder 12+ feet and/or scaffolding
• Ability to work in a dealership environment to include 8-12 hour days with frequent exposure to weather elements
