Painter

Essential Duties

• Exhibits regular and punctual attendance
• Performs interior and exterior painting and caulking of buildings with spray and conventional paint equipment
• Utilizes the appropriate paint/lacquer
• Affords assistance in general maintenance activities as assigned
• Affords assistance in the provision of training and safety education for residents in painting and general maintenance activities
• Affords assistance in ensuring that shop area is clean, maintained, safe, and organized
• Affords assistance in ensuring that maintenance/repair tasks are completed in a timely manner
• Affords assistance in ensuring that all maintenance equipment assigned is properly utilized and maintained
• Utilizes appropriate personal protective equipment, to include breathing apparatus (facial hair must comply with manufacturer's directives)
• Exhibits appropriate interaction with residents

Job Specifications

• A high school diploma or GED equivalency is required
• A minimum of 3 years experience in structural (residential or commercial) painting is required
• Must possess exceptional time management and detail-orientation skills
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must possess a valid driver's license
• Bending, lifting, grasping, fine hand/eye coordination, pushing/pulling, prolonged sitting/standing
• Must be available for travel as needed
