About the Role
BHC Alhambra Hospital is seeking a Per Diem Painter to perform painting, minor repairs, and light maintenance tasks. This position is as-needed with a maximum of 20 hours per week and variable hours/days.

BHC Alhambra Hospital, located in Rosemead, California, is a 115-bed private, fully accredited acute psychiatric hospital serving children, adolescents, and adults. Established in 1924, the facility provides quality behavioral health, substance abuse, and eating disorder treatment through inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs.
Responsibilities
- Perform light repairs, light plumbing, and fix minor electrical issues.
- Repair and paint doors, windows, walls, ceilings, roofs, and other parts of the building.
- Maintain clean work areas by covering trim, floors, furniture, and other surfaces with masking tape, drop cloths, and protective coverings to prevent paint damage.
- Assist the Director of Plant Operations as needed.
- Report any situations that may affect the health and wellbeing of patients or employees.
- Demonstrate self-starter initiative and strong time management skills.
Requirements
- A minimum of one (1) year of experience in handyman/painter duties, preferably in a healthcare facility.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to work variable shifts, overtime, and flexible hours as required.
