Painter

About the Role

This position involves transporting, preparing, and spray-painting equipment and parts according to customer orders, as well as maintaining paint booth equipment and supplies.

Responsibilities

• Transport equipment and parts to the paint room and position them for painting.
• Assemble spray gun and equipment, and prepare paint for application.
• Spray-paint equipment and parts per customer order with specified colors.
• Clean paint booth, lights, and spray gun equipment.
• Maintain and record filter changes for the paint booth.
• Maintain waste paint barrels and the paint shed.
• Notify purchasing of needed supplies, including paint, equipment, filters, stickers, and miscellaneous items.
• Perform other duties within the department as required.
• Transport equipment safely using a two-wheel cart or pallet jack; ensure heavy equipment is dry before moving.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of shop experience.
• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
• Ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, and carry objects.
• Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with the body, arms, and/or legs.
• Skill in using hands and arms to handle, install, position, and move materials, as well as manipulate tools like hand tools and hoists.
• Must work safely and maintain a safe work record; safety is the top priority due to the potential for bodily harm.
