About the role
Sets up and operates painting and drying units along a conveyor line to coat metal products with paint.
Responsibilities
- Applies paint powder to all parts that pass through the paint booth using established methods and procedures, ensuring the quality of the paint is maintained.
- Performs preventative maintenance of paint booths to ensure continuous and consistent operation.
- Operates and maintains set parameters for the cure oven.
- Keeps work area clean to maintain equipment and safety.
- Assists in reworking of parts.
- Completes ISO checklists.
- Performs duties in a safe, efficient manner in compliance with safety rules and regulations.
- Performs overtime work as required.
- Assists in the instruction and training of others as requested by supervisor.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to follow established methods and procedures.
- Ability to work under time pressure and for extended periods to meet build requirements.
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal) at a level normally acquired through completion of high school or equivalent.
- Job-specific skills, techniques, and safe work practices learned through on-the-job and classroom training.
Experience
0–2 years of relevant experience.
