Painter - 2nd Shift

Nature Of Duties/Responsibilities

• Reviews prints, drawings, and redlines for special Paint process instructions.
• Inspects work received from the previous operation and inspects again before moving work to the next operation.
• Prepares, primes, sands, and paints surfaces using all types of painting materials such as powder, epoxy, and water base paints, focusing on Powder Coat Painting.
• Maintains any tolerances required and adjusts colors when necessary.
• Utilizes enhanced finishing skills when appropriate.
• Operates, cleans, and maintains all painting equipment, including sprayers and electrostatic powder coat.
• Estimates time and materials required; keeps records and submits reports of work performed.
• May be required to rotate to other job functions within the same labor grade as directed by their supervisor.
• Keeps work area clean and orderly and maintains proper care of equipment.
• Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned by their supervisor.

Education And Experience

• 5 years of experience painting sheet metal parts/components - includes wet and dry (powder) processes.
• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
