Paint Technician - Luxury Collision

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform complete paint applications, including color matching and mixing, for a quality finish.
  • Execute minor repairs such as sanding and grinding to restore vehicle surfaces.
  • Maintain paint preparation standards to ensure vehicles meet company quality guidelines.
  • Oversee routine maintenance and service scheduling of spray booths, filters, lighting, and related equipment.
  • Lead, train, and mentor Refinishing Technicians, ensuring consistent adherence to OEM standards and luxury quality expectations.
  • Assign and prioritize daily work among painters based on the production schedule, repair order deadlines, and technician skill level.
  • Serve as the primary point of escalation for color-matching, technical, and quality issues.
  • Conduct final quality inspections of team members' work, holding the finish to Chassis Master and OEM standards before sign-off in CCC.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with EPA, OSHA, and Miami-Dade County environmental regulations within the paint shop.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, reduce rework, and control material costs.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of automotive refinishing experience, with demonstrated expert-level topcoat application skills.
  • ASE or I-CAR Certification required, or must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
  • Broward County Paint and Body License required.
  • Strong working knowledge of OEM refinishing standards and color-matching systems.
