Paint Tech
About the role
Ameristar Perimeter Security USA, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is seeking a Paint Tech to maintain all aspects of the coating process, including E-Coat and Powder Coat operations. Responsibilities include quality checks, following PPE policies, and handling hazardous waste.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for taking ownership of the E-Coat or Powder Coat process area.
- Works with minimal supervision and ensures attention to detail.
- Performs routine quality checks and titrations.
- Manages PM-related tasks within the control area.
- Deals with hazardous waste and complies with storm water policies.
- Fulfills all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) provided during employment.
- Safely stores all paint and paint solvent materials in designated grounded and bonded flammable cabinets.
- Wears company-provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including respiratory protection.
- Completes several training requirements to enhance knowledge of coating operations.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Trade school education is preferred but not required.
- Understanding of safety and environmental regulations related to industrial pretreatment chemicals, paints, and grounding/bonding processes.
- Experience with respirators and fresh air paint hoods.
- General paint knowledge is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to read and understand safety data sheets and technical documents.
- Experience with storm water permits or wastewater functions.
- Experience with paint pots, hoses, guns, and painting equipment.
- Track paint and solvent usage and document accordingly.
- Knowledge of paint booths and filter maintenance, including performing PMs on booth filters and documenting filter changes.
- Powder Paint and Liquid Paint experience is beneficial but not required.
- Electro-Coat experience is beneficial but not required.
Qualifications

Pay
The pay range for this position is $25 - $30 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
The Paint Tech role is full-time and works Monday through Friday, with standard business hours.
Location
The role is based in Tulsa, OK, with a nearest major market in Tulsa and a nearest secondary market in Oklahoma.
